Life Can Be A Gangster
Life Can Be a Gangster!!!
Life will hit you hard; no warning, no timeout, no easy rounds. It’ll test your patience, your faith, your strength… all at once. Some days it feels like back-to-back blows, like you can’t even catch your breath.
But here’s the truth: you’re still standing.
Scripture says, “We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair” (2 Corinthians 4:8). And just in case you forgot how that ends, “struck down, but not destroyed” (2 Corinthians 4:9). That means life can press you, but it can’t break you.
You may have taken some hits—but you didn’t go down for the count. Why? Because “The Lord sustains him on his sickbed; in his illness you restore him to full health” (Psalm 41:3). God has a way of holding you together when everything around you is falling apart.
Life may fight dirty, but God fights for us faithfully.
That’s why the Bible says, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all” (Psalm 34:19). Not some of them… all of them.
Every hit carries a lesson. Every struggle builds something in you. Because “the testing of your faith produces steadfastness” (James 1:3). What you’re going through isn’t pointless; it’s producing something in you.
And when you feel like you’re at your limit, remember this: “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful… he will also provide the way of escape” (1 Corinthians 10:13). You’re never trapped; God always makes a way.
So, take the hits, learn the lessons, and keep your faith!!!!
Because “the Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” (Psalm 27:1). The same God who kept you yesterday is holding you today, and already standing in your tomorrow.
And when it’s all said and done, life won’t be able to say it knocked you out… only that it made you stronger.
Because “in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us” (Romans 8:37).
