Moses My Servant Is Dead
“Moses My Servant Is Dead!”
There comes a time when grieving must give way to moving. God spoke to Joshua after the death of Moses and said, “Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan…” (The Book of Joshua 1:2). God was not being insensitive to Joshua’s loss; He was reminding him that purpose still remained. The season had changed, and it was time to move forward.
Some people spend years mourning what they lost, a relationship, an opportunity, a job, a friendship, or a chapter of life that has already ended. While grief is natural, living there permanently will keep you from the future God has prepared.
Stop staring at closed doors. Stop building monuments to what used to be. Thank God for what was, but don’t miss what is next. What is gone is gone, but God’s purpose for your life is still alive.
Moses is dead. The promise is not.
Get up. Cross your Jordan. There is still territory to possess. ✊??
